2017:
As part of the inaugural VCA Speaker Series, Dr. Deborah Davis, developmental psychologist and author of Empty Cradle, Broken Heart, spoke to bereaved parents and families at evening events around the country. The Auckland event was held on 30th September 2017, where Dr. Deborah Davis lead a discussion around surviving the death of your baby; and answered some vital questions which commonly tug at bereaved parents.
2016:
On 1st September 2016, Sands Auckland hosted a Q&A Evening for Bereaved Parents exploring the topic of Subsequent Pregnancy and Parenting After Loss.
On 2nd September 2016, we hosted a Health Professionals One Day Workshop regarding Stillbirth Research, Awareness and Prevention.
Both September workshops were run by Dr. Jane Warland.
2014:
On 30th May 2014, Sands Auckland hosted a one-day workshop for health and caring professionals, on Perinatal and Infant Loss with Vicki Culling.
On 27th-28th November 2014, we hosted workshops on Perinatal and Infant Loss, and Holding On and Letting Go – once again with Vicki Culling.
These events were all sold out and we had excellent feedback.
